Videos Demonstrating Emergency Response Techniques

Emergency Airway Response using an ambu bag
The following videos provide visual demonstrations of emergency response techniques. You can see and hear how to correctly perform rescue breathing, chest compressions, and the Heimlich Maneuver by reviewing them. I obtained the videos from PROTrainings’ collection of YouTube presentations related to emergency responses. ProTrainings conducts a wide variety of emergency response training for healthcare agencies and other first responders.

Watching the videos does not substitute for taking a first responder class. Proper training is essential to performing the steps necessary for a successful rescue attempt, especially if you work with a partner trained as a first responder. With two trained rescuers, you can anticipate each and work better as a team. Therefore, I  encourage you to seek a first responder course. In addition to courses taught by ProTrainings, you may also obtain training through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
Find Emergency Airway Management techniques in a separate post.

Even young children trained in emergency response techniques can keep someone alive until an emergency response team can arrive.
